Privacy Policy

Gloopi ("the App") is developed by MO Horizons LLC ("we", "our", "us"). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.

1. Information we collect

Gloopi is designed to keep your data on your device. Here is what we collect and why:

  • Task data: Tasks, subtasks, effort levels, and completion history you enter are stored locally on your device using SwiftData and UserDefaults. This data never leaves your device unless you explicitly use the AI task-breaking feature.
  • Preferences: App settings, theme preferences, onboarding state, and your display name are stored locally on your device via UserDefaults.
  • Widget data: If you use the Gloopi widget, companion state is shared between the app and widget through a local App Group container (group.com.mohorizons.gloopi.shared). This data stays on your device.
  • Device diagnostics: Standard device information such as device model, operating system version, and app version for troubleshooting.

2. AI task processing

When you use the AI task-breaking feature, your task title is sent to our server (a Cloudflare Worker at gloopi-api.mohorizons.workers.dev), which forwards it to OpenAI's GPT-4o-mini model to generate subtask suggestions. Only the task title is sent — no other personal data. Neither we nor OpenAI store or use this data for training purposes. See OpenAI's privacy policy.

3. Analytics

We use TelemetryDeck for privacy-friendly, anonymous analytics. TelemetryDeck does not collect personally identifiable information. No IP addresses, device IDs, or user profiles are created. We use this data only to understand which features are used and to improve the app.

4. Crash reporting

We use Sentry for crash reporting. If the app crashes, Sentry receives a crash log that may include device model, OS version, and app state at the time of the crash. No personally identifiable information is included in crash reports.

5. Subscription management

If you subscribe to Gloopi premium features, your purchase is processed by Apple through the App Store. We use RevenueCat for subscription management. RevenueCat receives a purchase receipt from Apple to confirm your subscription status. We do not have access to your payment details (credit card number, billing address, etc.).

6. What we do not collect

  • No account or email registration is required
  • No social login or third-party sign-in
  • No location data
  • No contacts or address book access
  • No photos, camera, or microphone access
  • No advertising identifiers or ad tracking

7. Notifications

Gloopi may send local notifications (e.g., weekly recaps, gentle nudges). These are scheduled entirely on your device — no push notification server is involved. You can disable notifications at any time in iOS Settings.

8. Data sharing

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties. We may share information only in the following circumstances:

  • With the service providers listed above (TelemetryDeck, Sentry, RevenueCat, OpenAI) solely to operate the app
  • When required by law or legal process
  • To protect our rights, privacy, safety, or property

9. Data retention and security

Your task data is stored locally on your device. We do not maintain server-side copies of your data. Deleting the app removes all local data. We use industry-standard security measures including HTTPS for all network communication.

10. Your choices

  • You can delete your data by removing it within the app or by deleting the app
  • You can revoke notification permissions in iOS Settings
  • You can contact us to request data deletion

11. Children's privacy

Gloopi is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have collected such information, please contact us and we will delete it.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page.
